Drews Feb news

Although snow, ice and freezing cold is all good and well, its nice to not be frozen into place here in branson.
Now its just barely march and we have hope of spring popping through with little flowers! The last few months have been some hard ones,
and sometimes feeling like myself and the other big brothers I work with are incapable of helping a few of these teens. It is really difficult sometimes to see Gods plan, in
the hurt, pain, and deception that faced by so many of these kids. God is working, and satan is doing his very best to keep these kids in
the darkness. It is hard to see them face this and feel like God has abandoned them, when He is really right there fighting for
their hearts. Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against
the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Pray for us as we grow through these
struggles, and that we can show Gods love to them, because when we try to love them out of our own strength we just get really tired.
Meanwhile, summer is coming up fast, and I am so excited to be going back to Gods Mountain for the summer! last year it was
really hard being away from camp (first summer without it in 22 years) and i can't wait for it all to start! I can't wait to see the Lord provide
and work this summer! to keep up with what I am doing follow my twitter: werDrew

God Speaks

Ok so I was at church yesterday, sitting in the midst of worship, surrounded by (mostly) people giving praise and adoration to God, praying and calling out to God to speak to me and to allow me to listen. I love those intimate times of communication with so much being lifted to to Him, and being surrounded by a few hundred other believers that are also lifting up their praise and thanks to Him. Anyways, I was sitting there, praying... and as the song came to a close I was praying that God would speak to me, not just in the service but in my life in general. bringing me guidence and peace. as the last note of the song hung in the air, and people began to sit down, I felt a hand being placed on my back. At first I thought it was one of my boys in a moment of tenderness trying to support me, but nope, it was a lady I hadnt ever met that was sitting behind me, as her hand touched me she simply said....

"God Loves YOU"

WOW! thank you God for that! I love hearing your voice through your children! So the point of this story is, whenever you feel prompted to do something, or say something nice to someone...
Do it! Cause you might be being God's messenger, and I would hate for you to fail to deliver.

Tuesdays

Ok, so I decided that since my tuesday tradition consists solely of going to eat BBQ with the guys for lunch I will commit to running before noon today. It was a hard thing to do, especially today because it was about 20 degrees. I decided that since i havent ran in like a month that i would just start with a mile, and wow that first lap KILLED! My lungs were dying from the cold... it was pretty terrible, I need a Gator or handkerchief so i dont breathe in ICE.. Ugh and i had a pretty bad cough for about an hour. hope that doesnt develop into anything. but my daily dose of Apple Cider Vinegar has been keeping me pretty healthy. But overall I am glad I started my running regimen, and have a pretty good start to my resolutions!
